Your Presence Is a Gift — Your Support Sustains the Gift

At Congregation Shma Koleinu, we believe that access to Jewish life, spirituality, and community is your sacred inheritance. Money should never stand in your way. You are warmly welcome to join us for the High Holy Days, no matter your ability to contribute financially.

That said, we want you to know: nothing you will experience during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is donated to us. These are the most spiritually meaningful and financially significant days of our year — and also the most costly to produce. From music to logistics, security to sacred space, your support directly sustains it all.

If you are able to contribute, we hope you will. We need you to. And you need you to. As our tradition teaches, “Im ein kemach, ein Torah” — “Without sustenance, there is no Torah.”

Thank you for being a part of this sacred journey. Whatever you give — in presence, spirit, or resources — we are grateful. (But please remember, we have very few liabilities that can, as of yet, be paid in presence or spirit!)
