While it is true that there is no cost to you to sign up, we do encourage you to make a financial contribution.  Shma Koleinu is the only non-Orthodox US congregation with a full time Rabbi that operates on 100% voluntary contributions. We at Shma Koleinu believe wholeheartedly that there ought to be no barriers to accessing a meaningful, spirited Jewish life, a key component of which is a Jewish community that celebrates and mourns together, learns and works together, dreams and imagines together.

This is true all the more so for the High Holy Days. Shma Koleinu welcomes Jews, Jewish families and those who love them to celebrate all year round and most especially during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. These spiritual occasions are your rightful inheritance, and thus there are no barriers to receive High Holy Day entry.

While we are a non-profit, our services are not without costs to produce, as we have to pay for everything we do: rent the space, pay the musicians, pay the event staff, print the programs, etc.  While we do much of what is required thanks to wonderful and generous volunteers, as the Rabbis of old taught, "Im ein kemach, ain Torah."  "If there is no bread ($), there is no Torah."

So, we do invite you to support us as generously as you can. Here are three optional ways to make your donation:
