Our Next Engaging Mussar/Torah Study Session
Vayechi—GENESIS 47:28-50:26
Emet—Truth, Hidden and Revealed
Date - December 18, 2021
Much of Jewish tradition focuses on our deeds (performing mitzvot) rather than on our beliefs. To “do Jewish” is to apply well to our Jewish lives the requirements and expectations of being God’s partner in creation. What does this entail? In performing mitzvot, we are meant to draw from and build into being character traits: Each day we are invited to become more human and thus more humane.
My colleague, Rabbi Barry Block, recently edited and published a book entitled The Mussar Torah Commentary, A Spiritual Path to Living a Meaningful Life. You can purchase the book online from a variety of sources. Here are a couple:

Sign up below and you will receive an email with the Zoom link Saturday morning.
(If you have not yet purchased the book, Rabbi Scott can email a pdf of the chapter to you. Just let him know.)
I hope you will join me in this different approach to Mussar/Torah study!
L’shalom,
Rabbi Scott
