Hear Our Voice

Of all the statistics that describe CSK’s success, my absolutely most favorite one is that, as of November 2024, CSK has celebrated 73 B’nai Mitzvah in 35 different locations! As we say, “Have Torah, Silver, Ark, Table, Sound System, Prayerbooks…Will Travel.

With Thanksgiving on the horizon, this note is my expression of ebullient joy over the bounty of happiness and learning and growth and the fulfillment of our children’s God given potential that Jewish tradition makes possible with the ritual of Bar and Bat Mitzvah. Some of our students begin this journey with years of Jewish education and generations of Jewish learning behind them, and some of them show up with “only” a beautiful desire to manifest on the outside, the Jewish feelings they have discovered on the inside. But over the course of about a year’s training, each one of them becomes the fulfillment of both. They are so much more Jewishly fluid (not yet fluent), and soulfully alive than ever before.
This is our goal.

And this note is a brief thank you to  you 73 CSK B’nai Mitzvah students over ther past 10+ years. To say the least, we couldn’t have done it without you!
