Tikun Olam, repairing the world, is an important part of the vision of Congregation Shma Koleinu. Not only do we seek to pray the talk, but walk the walk and that is where we all come in! Please join us in our effort to make a meaningful and positive difference in our world.

Please use the form below to sign up to participate with Shma Koleinu’s Tikun Olam team in SEARCH Homeless Services “Coming Home” program at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in the Museum district. Volunteers are also invited to host, provide meals, mentor a participant, or be a dining companion.
IWhat is Shma Koleinu’s role in all of this? Shma Koleinu is a member of the Council of Congregations for SEARCH. As a member, Shma Koleinu is obligated to participate in hosting either monthly luncheons or dinners for SEARCH clients. This assists clients, some of whom have mental health issues, with socialization and being part of a community.
