What Do We Mean By: "the words we inscribe with our lives?"

The most striking image of the High Holy Days is the Sefer Chaim Tovim, the Book of Life and Goodness.  The liturgy powerfully presents us with a book, into which we pray to be literally written (by God) for another year of life.  More broadly, the "Book of Life" invites  us to seriously consider, contemplate, celebrate, and evaluate how well we have done this past year, and what we wish to affirm, change, or shift as we enter the year to come.   We pray, "God, please write us into the Book of Life."  But at CSK, on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we will also ask ourselves, "Have I written myself into the pages of the book of life?  Do I choose life, and affirm life for myself, and for those closest to me?  And how might I do so in the coming year with greater verve, tenacity, hope, and vision?"

For us, this is what our High Holy Days are all about.  We hope you will join us.  Registration is required, membership is not. Please find all the pertinent information below.

One more important note - CSK is made possible by the generous contributions of our supporters.  None of what you will see and experience during the High Holy Days is donated to us - venue, personnel, equipment, materials.  We appreciate your faith in us.  We promise it will be worth it.

All HHD Services will take place at the Emery/Weiner School Becker Theater - 9825 Stella Link Road Houston, TX 77025
